Graham Research Inc. Acquires Northwest Swiss-Matic

Graham Research Inc. furthers its mission of providing advanced CNC Machining services with acquisition of Northwest Swiss-Matic.

Plymouth, MN January 2023: Graham Research Inc. and Northwest Swiss-Matic, LLC are pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Northwest Swiss-Matic by Graham Research, effective December 30, 2022. Northwest Swiss-Matic will continue to operate out of its Brooklyn Park, MN facility as a division of Graham Research.

When the owners of Northwest Swiss-Matic made the decision to sell the company, it was important for them to find a partner that would continue to invest in the business and its employees. They found this in Graham Research Inc., a contract manufacturer based in Plymouth, MN, in operation since 1950 and under ownership by the Huston family since 1992.  John Belmonte describes the transaction as “a complementary fit in terms of machining capabilities, aligning Northwest Swiss-Matic with a company that will continue to support and build on the company’s strong reputation in Swiss machining.”

Graham Research and Northwest Swiss-Matic together provide contract manufacturing services of mission critical components for the Defense, Aerospace, Medical and other commercial enterprises. Throughout its 70 plus year history, Graham Research has supported the United States defense industrial base via prime contractors to the Department of Energy. Graham Research’s focus is small, close tolerance, difficult to machine components made out of high nickel alloys with exacting surface finish requirements.
